One of the best of Hitchcock (although as far as his films go, Hitch probably has the best track report of any director living or lifeless) . This film is basically the new “Fugitive” and follows graceful closely the space to his “The 39 Steps” from 1935 - a man is erroneous for a CIA agent and is caught in a “deadly game of cat and mouse,” as it were. I Esteem the music and the visuals that commence out the film - it makes me wish I had been alive to study it in a movie theater in the 50’s. And although this film is over 2 hours long, there’s no procedure you can be bored - the suspense is so intense you’ll be chewing your nails the whole time (I did the first time I saw it) . Cary Grant is grand as always, James Mason plays one of the most bad of Hitchcock’s villains (I would Fancy to have this guy’s order) and Eva Marie Saint looks glowing and plays her allotment well. I also enjoyed seeing Martin Landau in an early role as one of James Mason’s henchmen and Jessie Royce Landis (the mother from “To Procure a Thief”) as Grant’s mother (although both were very come the same age at the time) . And I esteem any film accumulate by Bernard Herrmann - this guy should have had a mantle covered with awards, but as luck would have it, most of his scores went not only un-awarded but un-nominated (as this one did) . By all means, if you don’t acquire it, choose it up today - and by the procedure, agreeable job for FINALLY releasing it on DVD, MGM.

With this film, Alfred Hitchcock situation out to top himself and score wait on on top after the failure of VERTIGO; he did unprejudiced that. NORTH BY NORTHWEST is automatically a classic with the acting by Cary Grant (his fourth and final film with Hitchcock), Eva Maria Saint, James Mason, Leo G. Carroll (another one of Hithcock’s favorites), and young Martin Landau (in his film debut), the extraordinary space pieces (the UN slay, the cropduster sequence, and the climax atop Mt. Rushmore), Bernard Hermann’s music win, and the classic work of the camera by the Master of Suspense. But this DVD’s extras really add to the film. It includes a documentary hosted by Saint (”Destination Hitchcock,” not “The Man in Lincoln’s Nose” as listed on this status), an audio commentary by screenwriter Ernest Lehman, two theatrical trailers (a standard trailer and one featuring Hitchcock), a TV Location, an isolated music audio track and the film itself remastered in Dolby 5.1 Audio and 1.66:1 widescreen anamorphic format. The only scrape is it comes in a snap case like all Warners DVDs, not allowing a booklet with production notes. But this DVD is a must catch, especially if you’re a fan of Hitch. It’s also a tag of interest for 007 fans (like myself) . This film brought about witness thrillers and you should compare the cropduster sequence in this film to the helicopter sequence in FROM RUSSIA WITH Care For.

6 episodes from the first half of Justice League Unlimted Season One were originally released separately on the single-disc volumes Saving the World (February 15, 2005) and “Joining Forces” (September 20, 2005) . Also available on the 4-disc Anamorphic Widescreen JLU Season One place released on October 24, 2006 which (despite the “Season One” box title) actually contains both JLU Seasons One and Two (each 13 episodes) featuring extras covering only the first half of the 2 in 1 season plot with the following season location to include the missing bonus material.

Bottom Line: Highly recommended, especially for fans who don’t fill any of the previous season status releases. To fans that already enjoy the previous releases, unprejudiced know that aside from the bonus disc documentary (and the convenience of complete series packaging) all of the disc assure are the same as the previous releases before you choose.

First off, I do not have this particular series collection yet, because it hasn’t been released yet.

With the above being said, I can say that I hold all of the individual justice league seasons, and they were all extraordinary, so this place should be at least as excellent…

This series is Simply one of the best ever…

The wide array of past & fresh hero’s and villians is Gigantic…

The storyline’s are Awesome…

You don’t view the same characters on every demonstrate, you rep a enormous variety…

My daughter watches the shows with me, as it is very salubrious for kids of any age, but the writing is so darn capable that it really appeals to the adult audience as well…

I remember one of the episodes with SuperGirl(my accepted desirable hero) where she actually says she was honest copping a feel to a male character on the indicate…

I honest judge that writing ROCKS!!!!

My only complaint is that the series ended and didn’t go longer… I do not understand how a series that top-notch stopped…

I hope Mr. Timm or someone else brings the series assist with fresh shows and the same characters…

I would highly recommend buying this series… You will glance it over and over again and be very pleased with your capture…

It’s a brilliant, riveting movie, made in response to the atrocities committed against the Czech people following the assassination of Reichsprotektor Heydrich, Hitler’s personal “hangman.” Under Fritz Lang’s ferociously stylized direction, the dul of wits between the Nazi occupiers and the Pragu underground–”a ghost army sworn to haunt them till their blood runs cold”–becomes the stuff of legend: virtually another installment of Die Nibelungen, and a dynamic variation on the urban phantasmagoria of the Mabuse films and Spione and M.

There is propaganda–but when the blood-curdling rhetoric comes from Bertolt Brecht, no less, in his only movie script for an American producer, who’s to complain? Lang was Brecht’s full collaborator, however, and the narrative is a steel trap closing on everyone. Every act of charity may potentially doom an entire family, and the resistance fighters–especially Brian Donlevy’s doctor-assassin–agonize over their culpability in jeopardizing hundreds of innocents taken hostage in reprisal for Heydrich’s shooting. The moral-ethical duality extends to the casting, and our response to it. Apart from Walter Brennan, astonishingly “Brechtian” as a Czech professor of history, the “good guys” are ho-hum Central Casting types while the Nazis–evil incarnate–are juicily portrayed by a passel of German-Jewish emigres (Alexander Granach, Reinhold Schunzel, Ludwig Donath, et al.), all savoring the opportunity to skewer their own oppressors and to act up a German Expressionist storm in their Hollywood exile.
